Fuel Filter

I have a 1949 Farmall A, do i need a sediment bowl and a fuel filter or is that over kill

I always use both, but I make sure there is good flow by checking flow into a cup.

you probably have a fuel filter already, the fitting on the carb the line goes into normally as a screen on it, unscrew the fitting to clean the filter
