Front end loader

Cub 147

I have a Cub Cadet 147 with a Johnson Workhorse front end loader. Does anyone know how to find out how much weight it can handle?

Use to have a Johnson loader mounted on a narrow framed Cub Cadet. Guessing it would pick up 500 lbs or more.

It would pick up more than the Cub Cadet could handle. I bent the front spindles picking up a huge chunk of concrete.

The one I borrowed from my neighbor has a massive cement counter weight on the rear. I noticed in moving dirt it can get tippy if there's too much in the bucket. This little workhorse can pull its own weight around the property. I moved a mountain of dirt in no time.

Everyone borrows this machine. They abuse it too. I replaced the left rear axle and axle bearing. And welded the front spindle when I was returned broken. The front spindles need gussets and probably the 1" spindles too.
