Electronic ignition MF 175 gas?

I am considering installing electronic ignition in my Massey Ferguson 175 Perkins gas tractor. Several years ago I replaced the points, condenser, and distributor cap/rotor. Had trouble getting the distributor turned to the correct position to set points due to the high compression of this engine, and the starter lockout when the transmission is in gear. The distributor is also a real pain to access since it is behind the loader frame and arm. Think I had to remove all the spark plugs last time to allow setting point gap. It is mis-firing occasionally now and likely needs more ignition work. Are the electronic ignition kits all the same, or do I need a custom one for the distributor on this tractor?

I'm not sure which distributor was used with your Perkins, the last M F I did, a 165, if I remember correctly, had a Delco. There should be numbers on your distributor to identify it. Pertronix has the application charts on line, so you can look it up. They most likely have a kit readily available. They have listings, both by tractor model and by distributor number.

My distributor is a Delco D1112693 4025

Found this on yesterday's tractor site. Does this look like a fair price?

The link is for the pertronix 11, probably a good enough price, just look around a little to see what prices the other sellers offer
