different 2 point hitches how to tell what implements work with a tractor.

I am looking at getting a 300 or 350 with a 2 point fast hitch. It appears there are 2 different 2-point fast hitches. It that correct? If so how do you tell the difference between the points when looking at an implement

Presuming you want to know the difference between the SC, 200, etc... and all others...Here is what I found a while ago:

The small points are 2.30" high right behind the notch for the locking latch and the hitch receiver opening is 2.50" high for a .20" clearance. The large points are 2.80" high right behind the notch for the locking latch and the larger hitch reciver opening is 3.00" high for the same .20" clearance.

Large. From what I see there are more implements out there with the big prongs. When you find something...watch to see if the prongs aren't splayed or pigeoned in... they can real dogs to straightened to fit in the slots

Really, they will all fit. The spacing between the points is the same for both size points. Small point implements require simple spacers, which can be made from 1/2"x1" flat bar.

The prong size is one thing. But there are a lot of differences other than that. If you are looking at tillage equipment the other differences matter. For example, the Farmall 300 typically has a Fast-Hitch with a hydraulic cylinder for draft (pitch) control. The Farmall 350 has a Traction-Control Fast-Hitch. Implements differ depending on those two hitches. For example, you move a disk harrow from a 300 to a 350 and you may find the front in too deep with the back not deep enough, or maybe the reverse. The 300 Utility is even more different, using a top link similar to a 3-point hitch. If you are just going to use things like a platform carrier, it doesn't matter.
