Cub gear from engine?

I was sorting through parts photos, and realized I have no part number for this gear, and am not sure what it goes to. Most likely one of the front engine gears...crankshaft drive gear (camshaft pinion), timing...? It was with my '55 parts cub.

Crankshaft gear on front, usually pressed on, drives all the other gears up front.

Ricky's answer would appear correct, assuming it has a key way. I can't tell from the picture.
