Bravery

My suggestion for a nominee would go to my only D-I-L who just postponed her first appointment with her new oncologist so she could join the road trip tomorrow for my next surgery early Friday morning. She just got the confirmation earlier this week that her biopsy for cancer result was positive. DAMMIT!

George - We are so sorry to hear that! Prayers and best wishes for you and your daughter-in-law from Janet and I.

Sir George:
Prayers our on the way for your DIL.
Plus prayers are on the way for you as well.
Good luck to you & your family.

My families prayers go out to you and your daughter-in-law George.

Dennis, Sharlan, Richard, and Jeff

George:

I am very sorry to hear the news... and yes of course, another added to the Willer family prayer list. George, Em and I keep you and Marilyin in our prayers all the time. Remember, when we feel really alone and fearful, we truly are not alone, He is with us, always, and when we feel tired and can no longer carry our own burdens, not only does He take up our burdens, HE takes us up with HIM.

We pray that all will go well with the surgery on Friday. We pray that the teams of doctors and technicians will be blessed with all the skills and techniques needed to complete the procedures and remove the affected tissue. We pray that your recovery will be complete and positive and that you will return to good health.

The Lord bless you and keep you!
The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
The Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you (+)peace.

Numbers 6:22-26
Amen, Amen, Amen

George,
Sorry to hear this news. But please, please stay positive. I feel so awkward writing this post because I don't have any great words of wisdom to offer. But remember that people beat cancer every day. I know, I am one of them. God bless, good luck, and hang in there for one another. If you, your D-I-L, or anyone wants to talk about it, just e-mail me.

With prayers,
Bill

Actually Nadine and Steve will be there to comfort Marilyn during the long day of waiting. The surgery itself is expected to take up to 5 hours. There will be four doctors from four different specialties involved. Since it's a teaching hospital there will probably be others present too, since this is an unusual case. I expect to sleep through the whole thing. :D

As far as I know the cancer was killed nearly six years ago. The surgery is to repair some of the damage from incompetent radiation (over)treatment. I'd prefer he had used a shotgun. :( There may have been less damage.

This has been a bad year for our small extended family. Cancer has killed my only BIL in January and his son in April. Nadine is our only DIL.

George god bless Nadine and you also. Beverly is an 11 year survivor I expect Nadine to be equally successful. As for you continue confounding the medics.
Bev and I pray for the both of you.

Ditto to what all have said. The prayer list is getting quite long but it takes no longer to pray for one or many. I just passed the 7 year cancer free mark and the wife will be 3 years shortly so there is always hope and thats what we live and pray for. God Bless. Grump

Prayers have been going out from Wisconsin since last week for the whole Willer family.

Have there been any updates with regard to the surgery on Friday?

Mike in La Crosse, WI

George's surgery was Friday. All went according to plan and he is recovering. It will now be a matter of time as the healing takes place. Let's keep him and Marilyn in our prayers.

Thank you BD. As you know I was thinking of George and his operation all day Friday while we were at Kodiak's. Perhaps now Nadine can get on with her treatment. God bless them both.

Thanks for the info, BD. Beaconlight & I were talking about him at breakfast before I left for home yesterday.

Our prayers going up for the whole family.
