Blown manifold gasket I think

Went to mow today with the 300 and all of a sudden everything sounded real throaty and there was exhaust venting around the manifold. Assuming it is just a blown gasket. Was going to check the manifold with a straight edge to make sure it isn't warped. If it is, was going to mill it in the bridgeport. Now I'm a HS Physics teacher by trade, but wondering for the people that have done this how do you set it up on the table? Thought I'd ask first before I try and do it on my own. Planning on using my shell mill and taking very shallow cuts.

Check the back side of your manifold. They sometimes rust and burn out. The manifold will look okay at a glance, until you inspect closer. I’m only a hack with machinist equipment, so I have nothing for you on the mill set-up.

Gary,
Ended up the exhaust pipe was just sitting in there didn't have any threads holding it on. Previous owner and installed some set screws. SOOOO have a new manifold coming.
