Belly Mount Grader Blade and Rear Drawbar

I will be picking up a 1953 Cub on Wednesday that currently has the grader blade front mounted. I will be moving the blade to the belly mount position to grade my camp road. I know that the rear drawbar is flipped forward to support the blade. I know that I will also want to pull a trailer. Is there a way to use both the drawbar facing front and add another one in facing to the rear for other drawn implements or trailer. Thanks. I used to have a 1964 Cub Lo Boy in the late 1990s with a belly mower and snow blade. I am glad to be getting another Cub. 86

Hi,
Below is the Cub 54 Blade operator's manual, it has lots of info. It says on the last page of it, it was made in 1953.
There is a Substitute Drawbar, used when the blade is in the mid mounted position.
They show it a little on page 7.
Ask where you are buying the Cub if they have it.
You don't use the manual lift lever shown in the manual, if the Cub has Touch Control.

Below are pictures from TM Tractor Parts of a Substitute Drawbar.

I don't have the Cub 54 blade, probably someone that does will say if this is right. :)

Welcome to the forum. The substitute drawbar is pretty simple/straightforward device and if you have the tools can be custom fabricated for your tractor. Someone can probably supply you the exact dimensions to build one. JMHO Stan
