Are all these ads throughout every thread the norm now ?

Paul, it depends on which browser you are using. Google is really bad, now. Many people are using ad blockers, ask Don McCombs about that. Bob McCarty told me that he switched to Duck Duck Go browser, so I tried it, as well. I get no ads at all with it. An ad wouldn’t be so bad but when the same one is there 20 times on each post, it’s real annoying.

I use AdGuard on all my devices. Seems to work well for me. I don’t think anything is 100% effective, though.

Per Don’s recommendation about AdGuard, I gave it a try. Works perfect for this forum. I never see ads here now. However, it will block ads on other sites that I’ve clicked on. Not a big deal for me, though. And I feel sure you can change settings on AdGuard
I see that DuckDuckGo has been recommended as a browser. I’ve been on it for several years and no ads were blocked that I could tell

duck duck go here on w 10 with chrome and NO ads are blocked! SUPER annoying to have to fight to make a post. Thats why I dont get on forums much anymore cause the ads are always in the way and on some forums they actually stop your posting in the middle of it so you have to go back and start over.
I stay on FB more for now. Dont have much time for it either right now.
