Thanks, I found the planter last week at a junk yard, I had to do a double take as I have never seen one that was not a one point hitch model. Wonder if they made many of these????
that appears to be the same planter I got when I bought my tractor. Mine was setup to bolt to the side of the torque tube.Its in great shape, but i dont have the lower section of the planter...ie-knife, wheel, etc.
Just in case you were wondering why all the excitement about whether your 1964 Farmall Cub was a 6V or 12V, here is why;
Based on the SN table on TM's website and other well documented sources;
1964 Farmall Cubs started at SN 223453 as 6V Positive Ground tractors. At SN 224401 IH changed to 12V Negative Ground but kept the "Farmall Cub" label till SN 224703.
At SN 224704 IH changed the name/label to "International Cub" so if you own a 1964 12V Farmall Cub you own one of the "Rarest" Cubs that IH produced. Only 303 12V Farmall Cubs were produced!
Thanks for the comments, it was 6 volt but now is 12 the gears up front are the side dresser gears. The serial number is 2240XX. As you can see it is still a work in progress but I use the tractor in the garden so it will not be up to show quality or even close. I will post pictures of garden soon.
