With "no too me from me" christmas present this year and my interest in the 14.9 tires to see what there all about I ordered them on EBAY. I noticed it says 8,3x24 on the thread bars on the pic you can just make it out. We will see what I receive in the next few days from Tucker Tire. There 6ply AG 14,9x24 tires for $213 each with shipping.

I'm a risk taker sometimes i guess.....

Yikes! Why so big?

Those huge tires... The Cub will never be able to turn them, let alone do anything useful. Plus, it'll look absolutely ridiculous, with the sidewalls pinched in so far. :(

Hopefully you luck out and he sends you the 8.3x24 tires, but then Tucker's selling the 8.3x24 tires by the pair for a little over $200 total...

Hi Bill

With the 9.5x24 tires on my cub and Scruffys old front wheels I was going through mud that I could not get a 4x4 kubota backhoe through. 11.4x24 is as large as I would go on a cub. We just got the same tires for our 130 and they look way too tall for that. We are going to get a new set of rims for it cut them in half and widen them out to 14" to keep the tire from rounding out when we put air in it.

The 14.9x24 tire compared to a 12.4x24 tire
This is the tire mislabled for a cub. It is sitting next to a farmall Super A / 130

Ok the 14.9 tires are really big.....Now I need to buy another tractor to put them on thats my excuse now??? Maybe a farmall super A or bigger? ? The 14.9's are some really big meats?

I do plan on building another tractor soon too out of a GM 4x4 3/4 or 1 ton truck drivetrain. The 14.9's may go there with another pair. I need something animal to drag logs out, to dig with and plow dirt with. I don't have the $$ for a newer 4x4 tractor right now. Plus its fun building stuff. My jeep tractor is cool too. A GM 4x4 tractor would look like my 154 cub on steroids.
