Homemade bushings for my 1A-60 blade

Well this was an interesting idea that popped into my head. Been brainstorming ways to get the slop/play out of the various linkages of my blade. Then I ran across some 1" copper couplers in a bargain bin for $3 a pop and the gears in my head began to turn. I sliced them down one side lengthwise, cut the excess to shrink down the ID to fit the steel rod and voila they fit perfectly! No more play! We'll see how long they last.

Steel thinwall electrical conduit should offer the same option and maybe last a bit longer. I've swapped couplers for pipe of the same size to get something a little different diameter i.e. 3/4 pipe coupling and 1 inch pipe makes things a little different because of the O. D. vs I. D. Also consider different schedule (thickness) to get different diameters if one doesn't exactly fit. JMHO Stan
