Hello to all, brand new and need help!

So I just bought this beauty and need help with year identification, got a couple pics to show, can not locate the so called plate with model and serial # as of yet. Any help would be a great start for this project. Thanks

more than likely you will find that the tags on A/SA have been knocked off . i have one of each and neither has the tag on the seat frame where it sposed to be!

If you can't locate the ID tag, try to find the engine SN, should be stamped on a boss on the right side of the engine (I think it's near the top of the block, close to tyhe head). Also look for the casting codes on the major castings which will give you the day/month/year that they were made. JMHO Stan

I have to degrease the tractor, after that I'll be able to see more tell tale signs. Thank you

It is not a Cub. It is an A, not a Super A. The A is substantially more powerful than a Cub. The A was built from 1939 through 1947. From what can be seen in your pictures, I would guess it is from some time in the latter half of the production run. It looks like it has some parts of the Pneumatic Lift-All still in place (hard to tell from these pictures).

More info about Serial Numbers from the Owners Manual/Parts Manual. Look near #1 spark plug (sorry for the orientation, posting flipped the picture.) Stan
