Gary, we need a status report on George Willer maroon cub. We TN boys had to leave before it was running. What was the issue?

Brandon, did you forget your chair?

Re: Barnyard Bash 2018
Thank you Bill and Rosie we had a fantastic time and thank you to Thackery, BigDog, Roy and everyone else that lent a hand getting the Howard DeSpeeder and Rotavator installed. The cool thing about doing this at a CubFest is all of the hands that pitch in and when you get stuck the knowledge and tools to get you unstuck there. I wouldn't have had the jig, tools or expertise at home to repair the unexpected stripped implement pad on the drop final.
And no cubfest would be complete with out meeting old friends and making new ones. We even had to oppurtunity to Cub Express stuff to and from the Barnyard Bash. I have been the reciepent of the Cub Express so it was nice to be able help someone else out.

Bill I don’t know if I told you but bringing Paula to your place had an unexpected benefit.
Late Saturday she turns to me and says “you know, if you want to fill our yard with tractors, I’m ok with that”!
wait what?
I didn’t see that coming !

Yes, you mentioned that. Visiting the barnyard has that affect on wives. Next year bring a LARGE empty trailer and I will do my best to fulfill that desire.

I’ll let Gary and Jim go into detail but I believe it was a weak battery and other small carb stuff but in the end it rolled itself onto the trailer. Sounded good too.
...
Ok, on the other thing, now that the window is open for another Cub I’ve got to do some day dreaming to figure out what to look for.
‘57 with downswept pipe? Button tires for mowing duty? Plenty of time to think on that.

Re: Barnyard Bash 2018
Ron, I don't remember the status at the point of your exit but once oil pressure was established (and a functioning gage installed) the engine ran and sounded good. From there, working with the carb (I installed one of my adjustable main jets) Charged the battery a couple hours and it loaded onto the trailer running as it should. There's probably a little more refinement down the road but for now, it's much improved.

Re: Barnyard Bash 2018
Finally sat down to post a couple videos and pics from the Bash I took. I guess there could have been alot more but the bulk of what I took were of parts and things I thought were cool to use as a reference later on for what to find or fix.
First is a gerneral pic of the Barnyard's barnyard, it doen't come close to showing the amount of tractors there.
The bell has rang for lunch! I found it funny that back home I can have a tough time finding cub parts like these weights and here Bill has so many he uses them for holding down the party tent. 10 x 150lbs = ya, 1500 lbs should keep it from taking flight
BTW the food was really good thank you to those who prepared it!

Cutting firewood for the fire ring.

As I took that shot Mike moved up to video the Buzzsaw running.
Couln't resist this shot
One of many fine gentlemen (the guy on the left ) and ladies it was our honor to meet.
Getting that time to wind down
Try as I might I can't seem to make the Youtube quick link work.
If someone can tell me how or what part of the link to insert I'll fix it.
Sorry.

Thanks Mike, I fixed your You Tube links. You only need the part after the = in the address between the brackets.

I did. Just donate it to the cause. Realized I left that plywood also leaned up against the pole I meant to carry it towards the campfire. Thanks again for letting me camp. Food was excellent I really had a good time.

Come back next year. The chair will be up on the shelf with other things left from other years.

Re: Barnyard Bash 2018
Got to get my thanks in for the barnyard clan. My Dad and I enjoyed ourselves and now I know what to plan for next year. Didn't get to meet everyone, but the people we met were just great!
Next year will probably bring the tractor, just to let it meet some relatives, a couple chairs, and some extra time .
Thanks again!

Jim, I'm glad you could make it. Sorry I didn't have time to talk much. At least I didn't have a paint roller in my hand.
