they sell an adapter to fit the OTC slide hammer to genuine vice grip thread, do not have to make anything, and they have different sizes for the small vice grips, have several and they are handy, they just replace the adjuster screw in the vice grip and screw it on to the slide hammer

Any idea what vice grip thread is? The man provided these to me, they are M10-1.5

I have an old Vice Grip with a 3/8-16 bolt in it. Later ones might be metric but I don't think they are anything special.

I really want an adapter to pull bushings in a bore but haven't found what I want that isn't $100.00 plus. I'm thinking something like a plug of some sort you can tighten that will expand and grip walls of the bushing and then use the slide hammer to knock it out. It would come in handy removing parts from a Touch Control housing and other similar stuff.

Finally got around to painting the hopper for the Lely from page 12 in case anyone wants to see the before pics. Got to make the ejector plate and wrap this thing up.

Went by to check the ground hog trap today and the lady was out on her golf cart where the guys came and picked up all the irrigation pipe after I listed it for sell for her. They brought a bobcat and cleaned all the small trees etc. that had grown up around the pipe trailers. She was looking at this in the tall weeds and said she wanted to move it so she could mow, I said you want to get rid of it? She said you can have it, I hooked the truck to it and drug it out so I wouldn’t get snake bit and attempted to try to load it on the truck, it hurt but I wasn’t leaving without it. It was 92 here today with high humidity and my A/C went out on this truck last week. I was sweating profusely after getting it to where I did. I got the only 2 ratchet straps I had with me and after getting done she said “you gonna drive it like that?” I think I said “I’ll see you”. I was hot, I been hot all day since we don’t have air at work and didn’t eat lunch and knew I had no conditioned air to ride in the 3 miles to the house. It’s sitting in the front yard as is, I’m driving the truck with air tomorrow and will deal with getting it off another day. It is an IH, has the casting numbers and IH logo on the brackets. It has 3 sections. It’s pretty worn out but will do for me for a while.

Glad you got the cultivator out, loaded and home. Looks to be another project. Think I'd be very careful mowing where that was; could have some small pieces of something still in the tall grass. Cast iron has a way of damaging whirling steel blades.

Glad you got the Lely hopper painted; appears to have turned out good. Did you use an HVLP spray gun, rattle can, or other method of painting?

Sorry you got so hot. That can be troublesome. But that goes part-n-parcel with summer.

Stanton, the hopper on the Lely I put 2 coats on it with a brush, one coat one day then another coat 2 days later, the rest is powdercoated. I couldn't afford to get the hopper burned, blasted and powdercoated. That's a lot of surface area when you go to paint it. The only reason I brushed the hopper instead of spraying it is because I wanted it thicker. I'm not concerned with appearance on it, I want function and longevity out of the paint job.

Took in some 3” tubing 1” I.D. to machine some holes in. I’d like to see the bender that did this.

Friend of mine came by the shop last week and saw the old Sears water pump and said come see me, went by and saw him Saturday. It's the same Briggs engine but the pump can be changed to low or high pressure.

My wife’s birthday is next Monday and she sent me a picture of something similar to this to hang on the wall to put flowers or whatever in so I got some wood, mason jars and wire and went to twisting. I have some small staples at home I’m gonna staple the wire on the back at the top so when she hangs it on the wall it won’t sag outwards.

Those are small mason jars and the board is 6” wide X 8” tall in case anyone needs a quick project to do
