I think the single cylinder may have a bent crank, it dances all over the place but it runs. The twin doesn't move, it's always been one of the best running engines I've had. Owned them both for about 12 years.

Does it mean they have a bent crank when they dance around? We have 2 of the single cylinder Maytags that we bought at an estate sale of an old tractor guy. They were already painted up and in his shop with dust on them. Didn't take much for me to get them running. I know nothing about them really though. One is harder to start than the other.

That was a really good auction (outside of Nashville, TN) too. We ended up buying a Cub, Super A, (2) Allis Chalmers G tractors, and 2 trailer loads of attachments & parts for the Farmall and A-C tractors. Amongst the stuff we bought I found a notebook binder of forum posts printed out from Yesterdays Tractor. Thought it was pretty neat.

Chase, I don't know if it means it's bent or not. I had another single cylinder on a Maytag washing machine and it didn't move, on or off the washer but this one always has.

Yeah, these dance around just a little when moving. I was thinking it was from the vibration.

Got the spare tire carrier back from powdercoat and mounted it under the gooseneck to get it out of the weather. Didn’t feel like welding it so just bolted it.

:worthy: That's a very clever idea! :worthy:
Curious why you went out the left side though? I would think if you were along a highway somewhere changing a tire, that would be the more dangerous side because of the traffic.

I didn’t think about putting it out the right side because of the road, learn from my mistake!

Pinned joint anchors? Gosh, I just worked a bunch of structural engineering problems yesterday on the FE exam dealing with those. I don't care to see that stuff again! haha. Looking very good though~!
