Looks good, however, I'm a bit puzzled about what the final dimensions may be.

You got me, it may look original but it’s nowhere near that big. I’ll show the size when I get it together. I’ll give you a hint, the bolts holes are 1/8” and the slots are 1/8” wide by 1/4” long.

The backgrounds in the stake pocket pic and the Cub Ser. ____ pics were so similar that I thought those things were on a similar size scale.

Are my eyes fooling me again, or is that a miniature? I don't know what to expect anymore unless you have a quarter sitting next to it! haha.

Gave the boxblade away yesterday. Was our sons 6th birthday and what better reason to get rid of it than give it to him to play with.

Some beautiful work Shane. Your boy will have some lasting memories that should last a lifetime with the quality work you do. Just curious, do you tig or mig with the tiny welds. I have a new Miller tig but haven't used it yet because I've never tig'd in my life.

I been mig welding all this stuff. We have a small tig welder here and I use it every now and then but it's so hard to hold these small parts and tig them for me. I know people who would rather tig than mig but for me I'm just used to mig or stick. I hope Cole (our son) later on respects the things I have made, I remember when I was a kid my dad made my brother and I a scrape blade, he took some 1/8" X 2" wide welded 2 pieces together and made a blade and drilled a hole in the end with a hand drill for the hitch. It was simple and he used what he had but I remember my brother and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. We grew up poor (by todays standards) and we didn't have near as much as our kids do now but looking back we had food on our table and a roof over our heads and a couple toys and mom and dad took us to church every Sunday and that is all anybody needs. Dad always told us "your wants and needs are 2 different things".

Shane, your son will probably have the dad made toys when he is an old man.

50 years ago I made animated wooden toys for my kids. They still have the toys mounted on the shelf and won't let any of the great grand kids touch. Wife has one mounted on a transom and several on the bedroom storage rack.
I have an excuse. CRS.
