News from our friend Kodiak

Postby Corky's Cub » Sun Oct 29, 2017 9:17 pm

Good evening folks,

Our good friend Ron Whiting has been absent from this forum for quite a while now, and tonight asked me to share the family's news that his father Mr. Harold Whiting passed away peacefully on October 25th.

Over the last few years, I have watched with great admiration as Ron and his siblings worked together to provide wonderful care for Mr. Harold in his later years. And those of us here who were lucky enough to get to know Mr Harold, understand clearly the source for Ron's fine character.

Prayers of peace to Ron and his family. http://www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/harold-joe-whiting

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Thanks Charles, Rosie and I had wondered about him. He was a joy to talk with at Stonethrow as well as DSCF.

Condolences to Ron, Paula and the entire Whiting Family.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

So sorry to hear this. Mr. Harold was a fine gentleman and a great tractor buddy. I remember fondly his presence at DSCF.

Our prayers to Ron and Paula and the families.
