Work to do before the Bash

Those look like pretty solid ties. Last time I weighed a load of ties at work, they averaged 170 pounds apiece!

We guessed 150 when we loaded them.

That's a couple of days worth of hurt! (after the work is done)
I did half that number in a day and really paid for it. Those ties really provide the opportunity to highly respect to the men who built the railways.

Thanks to everyone who offered to show up early for the Bash to help. That shows how much everyone enjoys the Bash. :D However, I plan to do a couple a day until done and then have a couple more loads of asphalt shavings brought in. Fortunately I have a small loader on my Kubota to do most of the grunt work.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Actually it is asphalt grindings. It is what is ground from a blacktop road before a new topcoat is applied.
