1958 Farmall Cub noise in 4th gear

Hi all, I have a 1958 cub that whines in high speed. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? My 54 runs better then the 58 in high gear. No noise. Need help. Thank You.

worn/ pitted gears,bad bearings, only guessing with out taking it apart and inspecting, may be able to see what is going on by pulling off the cover and looking

I'd suggest attending either the Mid-Maine CubFest (Exeter, ME) or CubFest NE (Oxford, NY), both look to be about a 4 hours drive from you. Take your Cub and see if everyone can figure what is causing the noise.
