I did a little on line research on them, and could not find anything on them from people who owned them. I did find that they are not BBB accredited. I suggest going with both eyes wide open.

Thanks John, I have found some info and they look interesting. The one I am looking at is used and has some implements with it, not sure how many . They are basically a clone of the Allis G with apparently some upgrades.

Edit: http://www.tuff-bilt.com/home.html

Ad says an electric Tuff Bilt tractor is coming in 2016.

I saw last week That Tough-built is branching out to Cuba. With the Trade embargo relaxed it may me an emerging market for them.

Have had experience with both the old Tuff Built and the newest one. Both were good garden market type tractors.
The old tractor has since been modified with a new engine. The new model is now at work in Santa Rosa, Ca. area
Organic Garden. Parts for both are readily available as the use standard off the shelf items.
Still have some parts for the old model, hydraulics electrical and engine.

I read in an online Business review that the original TUFF BUILT tractor company has been sold to a company based in Oklahoma with a possible export market in mind to underdeveloped African countries. The owners are also in a dispute with the newly formed company that wants to build a clone and export to Cuba. I also read that the original Tuff Built company did not have any patents on the tractor they produced and sold. The newly formed company has produced several prototypes and has received Cuban and US authorization to continue this project as reported by the local Mobile, Alabama TV news about 2 months ago. This topic has been posted on the FORUM before. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=90623&p=717472#p717472

Tuff-bilt tractors are now being manufactured in Walthill NE. Tuff-bilt Tractors Manufacturing, Inc. bought Tuff-bilt Tractors from Southeastern Industrial Rescorses in January of 2016 and moved the inventory to Nebraska. The tractor going to Cuba is not associated with Tuff-bilt other than the fact that they used a Tuff-bilt tractor and switched the logo on the gas tank.

Tuff-bilt are a great Cultivating tractor that have been around since the 70's. Their is a website www.tuff-bilt.com and their is even a facebook page for tuff-bilt. https://www.facebook.com/Tuff-bilt-Trac ... page_panel

Modern day horsepower ratings are calculated much differently from those of 40+ years ago. You might also recall the big horsepower lawsuit of 2008 against Briggs & Stratton for fudging horsepower numbers to up-sell inferior engines. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/02/15/AR2008021501732.html

Basically, small engine manufacturers were slapping higher HP labels on identical engines and charging more for more power that wasn't there. In 2010, they were forced to adopt a new standard for measuring horsepower. That's why for a few years you saw them switch to torque labeling in LB-FT instead of Horsepower.

Hemmings did a nice write up on the CleBer Oggun light tractor today. It looks very similar to the Tuff-Bilt but has many subtle differences: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2017/09/18/1940s-50s-allis-chalmers-model-g-enjoys-relevance-again-with-the-debut-of-the-cleber-llc-oggun-tractor/

Here's the Tuff-Bilt for comparison:
