Lookin if anybody has got a pic of the foot pedal assy. for starter switch on my 42, Case IH parts screen kinda gives me an idea just looking for different angles to possible make one. Mine is missing the bracket and the rod.

I don't think the '42 had that foot lever. I think all it had was a rod that slid through a hole at the bottom of the steering wheel support post.

Seen that as well,Removed the post, sandblasted thought maybe the hole was filled up with paint,no hole to be found, not even one for the clamp style.

So far as I know, the H only came from the factory with 2 options on the starter switch. Original was mounted on the tank bracket and required reaching around the steering post with your toe to operate it, which was a pain in the a$$ as well as the knee, ankle, etc. There were a few aftermarket options to improve them with such as a lever, or such as ours with the little bracket and curved rod to make it easier to reach. I will get some pictures later today. Later models came with a bracket that mounted the starter switch on the left side of the steering column at a level it could be easily reached with your hand.

Here is the setup on our H. I do not know where it came from, since it was already on it when I was big enough to remember. About the only thing other than this I can remember was some had what amounted to a piece of pipe or a tube with a bolt or rod through it that was bolted to the rear of the support the same as this one is.
I was a little hesitant to post this picture on here, but did not know any other way to show the push rod for the starter switch.
