Postby Phillip W. Lenke » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:15 am

Recently aquired a 42 H

have the to sliding gears out need to get the lower countershaft out have it loose bearings out etc , book says to lift right out, with the large gear in place it will not come out of the tranny.
anybody been that far into the tranny , to help
I know the gears are pressed and keyed , appears I will have to pull the front gear, any help would be appreciated

I talked to Tina Hines at Hines Equipment in Delta Ohio
She said it does come out as one unit , minus the bearings , it is just takes some patience.
IHC was ahead of the times , the puzzles that will only come apart one way , the horseshoes and chain, 2 bent nail things ,chinese puzzle boxes, etc.
