The group was small, but we got a lot done, and I had a blast. Neither Alan or I had so much as thought about rebuilding a TC. His still worked, but leaked a lot. The only thing we had to improvise was a drag link screwdriver (1"x 3/16" blade). Just before heading to NAPA, we tried a piece of flat stock, ground the end thinner, and it worked like a charm. Did some carb work and cleaning on a '48 that I had just gotten last month and got it running. I'm mounting a blade that came with it this afternoon. Alan has a lot of mechanical experience (which I don't), and I'm thankful for all the help he gave me. Henry is 2/3 through restoring a family Cub that he hauled out here from Indiana. The weather was perfect. Dropped from the 90's midweek, to the mid 70's for the weekend. I had so much fun that if Cecil still has room, I may head to NY for his Cubfest. See you all out here next summer!

Alan and Bob:
As BD said, that is how it all starts. Anytime 2 or more cub nuts get together, a good time will be had by all. It looks like you all had a ton of fun, got some repairs done, enjoyed each other's company and learned stuff together.
What else could be better than that

Hi Alan,
Glad to see others having fun with these wonderful little machines. I
would loved to have been there. We love that Colorado air and views.
I most likely have been very near your place on some of my visits to
Co.
The turnout may have been small in number but the experience and friendships build will far out weigh the size in numbers. Just remember
from a small acorn all giant oaks grow.
I would love to come out next year if you have one.
Thanks for the pictures.
Russ L.

The longest journey starts with the first step...
I always have a good time with Cub folks... and it really helps to have some 'backup' on the more difficult projects. I say the TC was the most difficult 'project' I have done on a Cub, mostly because even after reading about it, it is still a big heavy 'mystery box' with lots of parts.
Congratulations on another sucessful CubFest!

Hey Country!!!! What's with the "geezer" stuff? I would never think of you as a geezer!!!! I just think of you as a fine Southern Gentleman, imported of course.
All this proves is that one gnome pounding on the keyboard for years still will not produce the works of Shakespeare.
