A Better Bench For My Shop

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Especially in my shop. However, this bench is replacing an existing bench so it is a trade off of space (I hope).

Nice! You'll like that slick finish on the top. Easy to move stuff across and clean up.

It's just thin laminate. I'm sure it won't last long.

We just had the bathroom vinyl flooring replaced and there was a good sized piece left over. You just gave me an idea about where to use it. :D

When we put a new kitchen in our house in Georgia, the vendor miscut the countertops.
I put the old cabinets and the bad tops in the garage.
Probably the only shop with peach-colored work surfaces.

Great and practical way to use the table. On the two in my shop, one has a sheet of masonite to protect the top and the other is covered with stainless sheetmetal for the messy jobs I don't want to soak into the table.

I put up some huge, heavy duty shelving in my storage shed, but the shelves were just particle board with a thin cheap covering, and I knew they would get torn up storing the tractor parts I had. So I went to Lowes (or Home Depot, not sure) and bought some remnant vinyl for next to nothing. Cut it to fit the shelves (3.5'x8'), and its been great!
