Should this be a concern?

Postby Lt.Mike » Mon Sep 23, 2019 5:06 pm

The SA is on jack stands and I couldn’t do much with it today so I just fired it up to run a little.
I noticed the seafoam seems to be doing its thing as it stops smoking pretty quick now after startup when before it was a bit of a mosquito fogger. I put in gear and let it run to see what could be seen. Both axles were quiet and the rattle is isolated to the trans. The right axle spins perfect but the left looks to be bent slightly (???). I shut it down and tried to wobble it by hand and there’s no unusual movement that way but when spinning you can see it.
Here’s a quick video of it, please tell me what you think. Is it a big deal?

Looks to me like the studs and the mating surface for the disk are running pretty true. The rest is just irregularity from forging the axle. No big deal.
