Valve grinding stone for seats?
Does anyone know where I might buy the guides and stones (correct angle) for grinding the seats on the C60 block. Valves can be transported easily to a machine shop! Not so the block to have the seats done . At one time I was able to borrow a complete set of seat stones & guides but that option is no longer available. Dusty B

Neway makes kits that uses a head with carbide (?) cutters to cut a new seat. I bought what the Cub required years ago and it's easy to use.

I did a valve job a few years ago. I sent a page from the service manual and the tech support people at Neway suggested cutters 122 126 111.

When you only have 9 horsepower you need to know the names of all of the ponies!

I used a carbide cutter meant for briggs engines, was just the right size and did a fantastic job...
