Each piece is about 12.5 lbs each or 25 lbs per side. It is listed in the parts manual.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi,
The split front wheel weights are shown in the 1965 Cub owner's manual, below are pages.
They tell the weight on the 2nd page. :)

Glen, I don't need to weigh them. I believe the parts manual. The parts manual says they weigh 25 pounds each. The question asked was, "How much do the split wheel weights weigh each piece". Since the manual says the weight weighs 25 pounds and they are two piece weights, each piece would be close to 12.5 pounds each.

What do you see different in the manual?

My TC-37F shows the 25 lbs and that it requires qty 4. So I take it that each piece weighs 25 lbs, not the set. If listed as a set wouldn't it show requires qty 2 (sets).
Never having lifted any I have no first hand knowledge.

Hi,
The 2nd page I posted above says, "each half weighs approximately 25 lbs."

I guess it was the way they wrote it seemed confusing.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of weight, but it is what it is.

Might actually make a difference. I never thought the 26 lb donuts did much.

I believe they are about 25 pounds for each piece. 2 pieces for 1 wheel would be about 50 pounds. Approximately 100 pounds for a complete axle set of split weights.

I finally got a complete set ,they do weigh 25 lbs a piece 50 lbs. per wheel . All 4 pieces stamped with part number 368838 R1. My next question what color should they be painted ? I am going to put them on a 1948 show queen. It took a better part of 5 years to find this complete set. Also any idea how much they are worth? Thanks in advance.

I know you're looking for a dollar amount but with so few sales to base a number on I think it's whatever you want to say. You pick a number and someone will tell you "They aren't worth that much" and all you have do do is say "OK, go buy another set."

Hi,
The front wheels were red then, you could paint the wheel weights to match. Just a suggestion. :)

They’re only worth what someone is willing to pay. Personally, I wouldn’t give more than $200 for a set but I realize they are just “stuff”. I know a man who has a set sitting in his shed, he has 2 cubs but they are worth more to him to look at than actually use.

Mine are painted white, but they are on a 65 Lo Boy with white wheels.

They are wicked hard to find, it took me a couple of years to assemble the set! Very handy on a Fast Hitch Cub, especially a Lo Boy (CG way different because of the 'turned' final drives). No wheelies since I put em on.

Going to yank them off the Lo Boy in a bit and drag them to RPRU......

I have a set of one-piece wheel weights on my Cub, for a total of 52 lbs of front ballast. I look at it this way, when towing my loaded trailer over hill and dale on the property trails, 52 lbs on the front balances 52 lbs of tongue weight on the drawbar. Assuming a properly loaded extra 520 lbs on trailer, which equates to 10% tongue weight of 52 lbs on drawbar, gives me extra piece of mind, esp considering the open operator station. I experience no wheelies. Personally, I have a set of front and rear wheel weights, and I like them. They keep the wheels right where I like them...on the ground.
