Heated cab?

I'm getting ready to design a cab for my tractor, but then it hit me we don't have water pumps. Anyone with cabs figure out a way to get heat back to the cab? Maybe adding sometime of belt driven water pump?

the tractor has a thermosyphion cooling system. You can add an electric water pump pretty easy but since there is no thermostat you really run the risk of over cooling the engine and not getting the engine up to operating temperature. Will foul the plugs and may not put out enough heat. Might be easier to install an auxiliary alternator and an electric heater. If you had a 184 you could just upgrade the alternator. Go to salvage yard and get an alternator and buy a 12v heater.

I've got a 185 and a 154, both have the starter generator. I could always drop a rain gear on the flywheel and stick a starter and an alternator on it if I had too. Has anyone done a water pump and a thermostat? Wonder if there are any aftermarket universal water pumps available.

what I did for cab heat is installing canvas curtans on the side of the engine
the temp inside is about 50 degrees with the outside temp at 0

a modified cab off of a 1066 international [big tractor]
had to move the bottom pannels in 6.5'' to fit tight to the sheet metal under the seat.

A couple possible approaches:
1) Use an air duct that gets flow from the cooling fan. I don't know how well it would work, but has been done by others.
2) Get a small heater fueled by gasoline or kerosene.

There’s a 12v trailer truck cab heater? You have windshield wipers so a defroster maybe needed too. I’m thinking one of those 12v dashboard fans. This was my plan but my 55 Willy’s Jeep tractor does my plowing. I even purchased a am/fm cassette radio and a cub radio. I was thinking about adding a snow blower and go out plowing.

Neighbor had a 1936 Chevy with South Wind heater. It would cook you out if you turned it up.

Doesn’t JC Whitney offer a water heater add on? I remember seeing an old Jeep with two heaters. My Jeep has no body just a seat it gives me a chance to test out that insulated hunting gear. An old truck driver told me those open air trucks in the old days they would wrap there legs in burlap bags. Lol
