BN head gasket replacement
I got a new head gasket for the bn, It's a felpro gasket not like the metal victor gaskets like the cubs would use. would I use copper coat on the side that goes to the engine block & nothing on the head side ? Also does anyone have a picture of head bolt tightening order. Thanks Dave F.

Re: BN head gasket replacement
I don't have anything on the head bolt order for B or A, but common order is snug ones in center, move to next row on one side and snug them, then one row on other side, etc. till you go over them all, then start at center and tighten more, and follow same procedure, repeating until you have them to right tension.
As to copper Coat, I use it on both sides. If the head bolt holes go into the water jackets be sure to use a good pipe dope compound on them.

The Fel Pro gasket is metal on one side, composition on the other. Copper coat only the metal side.
