1959 Loboy

Postby Richard Adcock » Fri Jan 18, 2019 12:51 pm

Here is my new to me 1959 IH Cub Loboy I just bought with the attachments I got with the purchase. It is faded red but I think it was originally yellow. Still deciding on the color I'm going to repaint it. Gonna fix it up and post before and after soon. Not planning on restoring for show but make it nice again as I plan on working it.

Welcome to the forum! Nice fairly complete looking tractor!

One safety note for the future if you plan on hauling it more. Chain either the drawbar or the rear wheels to the trailer forward and rearward securing it fore/aft, then you can use a strap or lightly bound chain on the front to keep it from shifting sideways. The way the chain is looped around the front axle can put a lot of stress on the front axle attachment points when accelerating your towing vehicle. It wouldn't take much to pull one of these tractors in half.

Richard,
Welcome to the forum.

In your first picture there is the Fast Hitch "pull bar assembly".
Check out the pictures on TM Tractor website for the Loboy Fast Hitch on a pallet http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim/lbfasthitch_001.htm and installed on a tractor http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim/lbfasthitcht_001.htm
You may be missing parts to the fast hitch.

Wish you well and if you have any questions, just ask.

Peter
