Snowpocalypse 2018
I know a lot of people on here live in snow for months and it’s measured in feet. I don’t know how y’all do it. Around here 1-3” and North Carolina closes. People panic. They fill up with gas, buy all the bread and milk which I don’t understand. Who eats milk sammiches?
This weekend they are calling for the most at one time that I can remember since the 1990’s. I went to the grocery store today and this is the bread shelf. Went to Walmart as well and their bread shelf looked the same.

they panic in the same way here in the North and empty the shelves, just need to shove the white stuff out of the way and keep working, already had a foot couple weeks back, can't you machine some bread up at work?

It's all about what you're used to.
That would be a significant snow for us and make for a messy commute Monday. Of course it's flat here.......
I wouldn't bother cleaning the driveway though - it's all going to melt by noon Tuesday.

This reminded me of something that happened through work at a bread place years ago
My boss and I went to a major bread place to look at a repair job. I am bald and have been shaving my head for 20+ years with a straight razor. I had just shaved the night before and my boss and I go to the bread place and start out into where the magic happens and the man we were with hands me a hair net and tells me to put it on. I looked at him and said "can you see my head?" He said, it doesn't matter, you have to wear this
We went to another customer who does packaging, a very large place. The man there and I were walking across the floor (huge building) and his phone rings. He says to the person on the phone "okay, I'll tell him". He hangs the phone up, sticks his hand out and says "spit out your gum".

Hoo Boy! Here in SE MI we have only had about 4" of accumulation so far this winter, and never more than 1" on the ground at any time. I'm looking forward to some real snow.

On a side note, someone at work brought in an old bread machine that still works good. Every morning I arrive 15 minutes early and start a batch. At 10AM it's fresh bread time! Makes the whole office smell great too.

Yes, I was in Houghton a short time after that and saw a lot of the videos and photos posted by friends. That was terrible.

If there wasn't any bread yesterday I know there isn’t any today either. They have changed the forecast.

Nice upgrade to the forecast! Can we get some more drama put into this weather report?

Re: Snowpocalypse 2018
Well, my estimate here at my house is 6" or more, and still coming down. I just hope the freezing rain line stays south! Guess I'll binge on some Netflix today in front of the fireplace, for as long as I have power.
Good luck, Shane, and all the others in this mess! Hmmm...the sky just got darker...not sure what that means...better get that 2nd cup of coffee before the power goes out!
