Re: confused in cleveland.
If it looks like this, it is a model 1812 made from 1986 to 1989.
If not, post a picture and I will guess again.

Its close, the plate between hood and seat is flat and longer and there are 2 petals on the right side.

Could be a 1872 or 2072.
I do not know the difference between the models without more research.

Do not work on many Honda motors so I can't say good or bad.

It's a 1987 1872. 1984 serial number range was 756,300 to 766,351. The 1872 model number for 1987 was 147-720-100. Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you the 1987 GT brochure, if you want a pdf version.

Re: confused in cleveland.
Good machine. The Honda engine should work nicely, and last longer than the 18-hp or 20hp Kohler engines. They were notoriously bad! Tractor is a solid machine, the turning brakes are nice especially since there is no locking differential and these are really easy to get stuck with the big, high floatation tires. The front hydraulic ports are really handy for the hydraulic angling snow blade!
