I love my cub; but, my "new" Super A is my new love. I got it from a fellow in southern WI. who had it for the last 10 years. He mowed about 5 AC of rolling yard and took very good care of the tractor.
I can't belive how fast it mows. The old cub was good; but, the Super A is about 2.5 times faster and does not miss a beat in fairly tall grass. There is a big difference mowing with the cubs 42 and the super a 59 - one question - why is the 59 deck left discharge? It seems right discharge like the cub 42 would be great - it's difficult to see the left side over the motor.
Other than left discharge, the Super A is Super.

I am familiar with the feeling. We have four cubs here, three are operable. I really enjoy them, but I have to put my '45 B Farmall a notch above them. I don't use in the field, but I ride it all over town making sure the Klaxon horn it still works.

I've also got a Super A and a Cub, and after mowing some fairly tall grass with the Cub this week, I'm sorely tempted to put the Woods L-59 onto the Super A, but it would probably require some retrofitting that I'm not interested in doing, like spindles threaded in the opposite direction, etc...

I have a super A also. the super A is twice the tractor as a cub in horse power . I am not shure why woods has a left and right rotation. I have used both L59 and 59C on a Super A. I just wound the belt backwards. It worked fine. I also have a 3 point hitch on super A. I haved use a 5 ft woods brushhog on it with no problems.
