Lo-Boy Questions

Postby Brutalfly » Tue May 06, 2014 6:24 pm

I was wondering about the lo-boy
I am going to go look at one this weekend that fits my price range perfectly.
It comes with a snow blade and rear weights.
I have been doing all my research on the cubs and was wondering if the lo-boys were basically the same thing just lower?
Also I was wondering a couple of things:
1. How much does a rock shaft usually run? I was thinking around $100 or so
2. Are cub and lo-boy plows the same?
3. What things are different from lo boys and cubs?
4. Am I right in saying that this is a 64-68 lo-boy?

I am just looking for a little education on these tractors because I have not done a lot of research on them.

ALloboy can only use a fast hitch plow which is the same a fast hitch plow for a Cub. you can not use a 193 plow on a Loboy. Likewise, you can not use cultivators, planters etc.

A regular Cub snow plow will not fit a Loboy but a loboy snow plow will work on a regular Cub.

What all do you plan to use it for? They are basically a mower, snow pusher tractor.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I wanted to plow a garden with it and snow plow.
I have a cub cadet mower so I don't need a mower.
So my plans were to us a plow with it, so that is why I thought I better ask here first.
I asked if it had a fast hitch and the gentleman said it did not.

You won't plow a garden with it without a fast hitch and a fast hitch plow.
