When I first purchased my Lo-Boy I intended on building a full FEL frame to assist in moving steel, fab projects, firewood & earth around the yard. After some discussions here I opted to skip the FEL fabrication and utilize the 3 point as it would achieve 90% of what I needed to do. The first step was the multi-hitch http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80471 which got me forks, boom pole & skidding frame.
Second step was proving the tractor could push snow. I made a prototype blade using a 5' 2x12 with a steel edge pinned on the multi-hitch. It did the job... until the wood broke. The important part was it proved the tractor had enough traction w/o chains to push snow.
Normally I follow the one shop rule: Project's with blueprints = work. Project's with out prints = Relaxation. However the complex design merited bending the rules so I drew up some prints before starting.
The design is primarily a a plow with a bucket attachment. All the sheet material is 5/16 A36 steel plate and the crossmembers are 3/4" and 1" steel pipe.
The IH logo and holes in the side of the bucket along with the 10 3" holes in the top are all for weight reduction. With the bucket itself weights close to 300 lbs and has and can lift 350 lbs before the hydro's limit out.
Currently the bucket / plow joints are tack welded together, but they will be bolted together upon completion.
More pix to come.

Re: 3pt Bucket / Plow Fabrication
That looks great! I'm assuming you've got a CNC/Plasma Cutter table to do all the cutouts so nicely. I've always wanted one of those, but never had enough extra $$ to get it. Maybe I should first pickup a plasma cutter.....
Anyway, beautiful work. I'd say that bucket will be plenty strong enough to do anything you want with the lo boy. I've got a FEL on my Simplicity Legacy, and woudn't be without it, but it's really limited on it's lifting strength.
Just a suggestion. Make sure to add on a couple of hooks to the top of the bucket so you can chain things in place. That's the one thing I'm definitely going to add to mine. I'm always trying to pick and move things and just need to strap them in place, but don't have the hooks.

Re: 3pt Bucket / Plow Fabrication
Here are a few more pictures showing the bucket / plow separation. I still have to make a cutting / wear edge for the snow plow, but that will be done closer to winter.

Re: 3pt Bucket / Plow Fabrication
Oh, now that's just stinking COOL!!!! Great idea! Great fabrication!!! It's like a quick attachment plate on a skid steer. With those three pipes on the back side for reinforcement, you could also make those attachment points, with big bar pins that could slide into the pipes and pin in place whatever attachment you have on it.
Heck, I'd make a blade with the wear edge and shoes mounted on it that you could pin to this plate. Then, when you're done plowing snow, just pull a couple pins, drop the blade, and put the bucket on. Since you can't angle the blade side to side, you might even want to build a push box like this:
This way you can control where you're pushing snow. That's all they use around here for clearing parking lots with front end loaders. It's amazing to see how much snow they can push, and how well they can direct it because of the wings on the plow. You could use the exact same design you already have for the bucket, just no bottom on it, a couple of reinforcing bars, then skid shoes and a cutting edge.

Re: 3pt Bucket / Plow Fabrication
Finished. After some initial playing.... I mean "testing" I was satisfied with the design and decided to clean it up and lay on some paint.
Originally designed for moving and spreading loose material I first had a weld-on straight cutting edge. After a day chipping away at the hard packed rock filled soil at my in-laws I knew there had to be a better way. I found that a lot of FEL owners had good luck using a tooth-bar edge which helps breaks up the ground before the flat edge gets to it. I cut 2" x 3/8" steel flat bar into teeth and made bolt-on cutting edges
