Follow-Up Doctor's Visit

Postby Stanton » Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:50 am

Visited with the cardiologist this morning. She said that even though the valve leak is sufficient to warrant surgery, the rest of my heart appears to be doing fine and we can hold off 'til later this year. That's great news for me.

It appears that a valve repair is in store rather than a full replacement. That was also good to hear.

She didn't have any restrictions on activities and wants to see me again in 6 months for another echocardiogram. So, it appears I'll be headed to open heart surgery sometime this September/October.

Thanks for your prayers; I'm humbled.

Glad it isn't as bad as first thought!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

No one likes the thought of having surgery, but it sounds like you have it under control.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
