The Barnyard Bash Starts in 10 Days!

Postby Barnyard » Mon Feb 24, 2014 8:28 am

Make sure you mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, May 30 & 31 for a great time at the Bash. Thursday morning will be set up time with some shop work and shop talk in the afternoon. I will be around all day Wednesday doing some final things so you are welcome to drop by to visit then if you wish.

If you plan to camp we have electric at the barn for about a dozen or so campers. We will be sitting around the fire at night.

We had a great crowd last year and had a great time as always. We got a lot of Cubs and stuff worked on, told a lot of great stories and ate a ton of food. If you need anything done to your Cub let us know and it will be put on the schedule.

Rosie and I are looking forward to seeing everybody again.

For more info, directions, etc check it out here http://www.barnyardbash.com

We hope to see many of the new members this year! :D

I just tried to make a rez at the Super 8 online and the screen said there were no available rooms. I called and made a rez. The desk clerk is going to see what the website problem is. Just wanted to let everyone know in case they found the same thing.

Bill, will there be an area available where we can hone our snow plowing skills? I don't think this winter is going to end!

My snow plowing skills are as sharp as I want them, however, it is quality seat time. :)

Well, if this keeps up I won't have any tall grass in the back lot to sickle mow. We could use that area to snow plow. By the way, we are one inch from our record annual snow fall and they are calling for four inches over the weekend.

Bill,

What is that record? 25 inches. :) :) When I left my home in Pierpont in October of 1999, later the following spring I asked my next door neighbor what snowfall was for the '99 '00 winter. His response 169.9". (For the skeptics, he is the official snowfall recorder for the area.) Boy was I glad I had moved to an area of much less snow.

Bill, so far this winter we have had 43.9" of snow. The record is around 44.9. The weather report I just heard a few minutes ago is now calling for 4 to ten inches sometime Sunday and Monday.

Bill, the forecast, from Dayton, is also calling for ice, south of there, I sure hope you don't get nailed with that too. I'll take snow over ice any time.

That's peanuts. :D We're at 158 inches so far this winter, and it's far from over. Our record is 260 inches.

I just wanted to confirm that what Bob said is still true. I tried to book our room online tonight and found that the website showed that they were full. I called the Super 8 hotel directly and they still have rooms.

Thanks,

I put in for vacation that week, and was APPROVED! I'm sure there will be plenty to do around home before I can go "play", however... The way I count, 44 days! Bring it...
