Cold Temps And Water In The Tranny Don't Mix

Postby ricky racer » Sun Dec 15, 2013 8:11 pm

Got my Power King all back together this afternoon and wanted to take it outside and try the snowblower out and take some pictures to post on Craigslist and the Economy wouldn't move. Careful inspection revealed the rear transmission was frozen. Evidently there was water in the tranny and the temps in the teens meant no moving today. She setting in the barn now with a heat lamp under it. Tomorrow I'll drain the fluid and replace it with fresh gear lube and try it all over again.

Found that out a couple of years ago when I went to get the Cub to plow snow. I try to avoid that stuff now.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
