Here's a couple pics of the Cub belt pulley restore. Picked this up unexpectedly at an auction this summer, here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=80310&hilit=+pulley
As brought home:
New oil seals; bearings seemed fine. Spins nice and freely.

Re: Cub Belt Pulley Redo
So, how did this work? Did it go over the PTO spline shaft? Or the PTO removed and this put in its place? I'm curious. I know very little of Cubs, my SA has both in one unit.

Re: Cub Belt Pulley Redo
You're correct. You remove a cover plate that the the PTO shaft extends through and bolt the belt pulley on so it engages the PTO shaft.

Bob, what cover plate do you remove? Are you talking about the PTO shield? (round tin can looking thing with no ends?)Bob McCarty wrote:You're correct. You remove a cover plate that the the PTO shaft extends through and bolt the belt pulley on so it engages the PTO shaft.

Re: Cub Belt Pulley Redo
Scrivet, I was daydreaming. As you know, you just remove the bolts and bolt the belt pulley on with longer bolts . Thanks for catching that.
