Farmall 130 Decal help

Postby Dusti Snider » Fri Nov 08, 2013 9:48 am

I had a good friend call me yesterday, putting the finishing touches on a 130 he's redoing for guy. Has a full set of Maple Hunter decals in his hands and isn't sure where to put them. He's done many of the letter series and Cubs. He's not real computer savy and doesn't have a book for it. I told him M-H may be able to tell him more about decal placement...but...

Do any of you have some input? Some OM pages or advertising literature? I checked the Wisconsin library...not much there for the 130.

Appreciate your help.

check eBay, Google Images, Tractor House, etc. Although those can't be always correct, sometiems you'll find pictures of an original tractor that will give some help. The decals and placement should be close if not the same as the Farmall 100. Try contacting Mike in Blountville, TN. (MikeinTN) I think he has done a 100 and 130.

Guy Fay wrote an originality guide for the 100 series tractors that talks about decals and placement. Not sure if it is in print or not. I have a copy but I have no idea where it is. If he needs it I will see if I can find it.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Al,
Ray was the one needing it. I told him last week you may have something in your archives. I told him just to go to Louisburg Tractor and have them get an OM for it, or let him make some copies.

Barnyard,
That may do it, I'll forward it on to him...

Thank you all for your help!

Looks like it. On the first page, the decal marked to go on the side of the battery box I think would go under the seat-it looks like the patent decal to me.

Well I should have looked closer--the patent decal does go on the battery box. Dusti this should give him everything he needs.

The "gasoline" sticker is only used on distillate tractors. I'm not sure that is the correct light switch decal.

I figured the "gasoline" decals wouldn't be right for the 130, nor the light switch. That's the trouble with some of the "one size fits all" decals sets.

That is why I suggest getting decals from TM (for Cubs) or from Bermuda Ken at Carter & Gruenewald.

I think my friend got his from Maple Hunter, which is where I get mine. I have a set coming from Maple Hunter for my F12. The set he got doesn't have the generics like the one's from Steiner. I've never bought from C&G but have heard they are "top shelf" as well.

Keep in mind I was not recommending anyone's decals, just providing a source showing placement of the decals.

The "Original Farmall Hundred Series 1954-1958" by Guy Fay and Andy Kraushaar shows to the 1/4 ", (+ or - 1/16th") where all 130 decals are to be located. If you still have some concerns about locations, PM me.
