Rear Axel Housing

Postby jimpitz » Thu Oct 10, 2013 3:02 pm

Excellent website for the not so mechanical amateur.
Have followed the forum and excellent pictures re: Hydraulics
Question(s): I have removed my drawbar on my 1948 Cub Serial #52833 and have found an allen plug on the left rear axel that appears to be the fill and level plug that has been discussed on prior forums. Is there just one filler level plug (for both pans, on the left side)? What size allen wrench is required to remove this plug?
Thanks, regards, Jim

Thanks for the tip, you saved me a trip to town in the pouring rain and the cost of an Allen wrench.

One of my Cubs is 3/8" drive on one side and 1/2" drive on the other. :?
It also has one toggle brake and one non toggle brake, which may or may not have a connection.
