As I was reading your story .. and getting to the part where you secretly stashed coin for the ring, I had a feeling where this was going ... and as I continued to read it warmed my heart to see that the woman you loved so much that felt exactly as you and had the very same idea - borne out of love. Just such a beautiful story.
And yes, us old farts who have been blessed with our brides for many years are not as crotchety as we let on and stories such as these bring back our memories. So ... thank you for that beautiful love story of yours, congratulations on your fiancée saying yes, glad you got your '50 and we will be looking forward to seeing your engagement pictures.

Once again everyone, thanks for all the kind words! I really appreciate it all.
Unfortunatly i wont be able to attend the cubfest in september as we have a trip planned for northern, mi. I definently would like to go to one in the future sometime though.
