A couple weeks ago, I ended up doing an unplanned split to replace the clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, and pilot bushing on the '53 due to my own screw-up on a previous split.
I don't think anything is wrong, but with the engine idling, you can hear a quiet "s-s-s-s-s-slip" as you release the clutch pedal and the clutch begins to engage. It's actually pretty neat to hear.

that will quiet down as the new clutch becomes smooth and polished a little. As you said, nothing is wrong.
