Comments welcome.....I tilled in some more manure....Perhaps a layer of topsoil is next... Then the cover crop....Dave

Oh yeah , thats my ferguson parts tractor in the field.....Diana wanted it out there so she could put flowers on it...LOL

Not sure I'd spend the money, adding topsoil. Plant a cover crop, and see how it grows,before dumping any more money into it. Turning under a good cover crop, before winter, and planting winter rye, might be all you need. Maybe add more composted manure in the spring, if you can get it. Ed

Hi Ed,Yep We been talking about the same thing....I've got a pretty good size manure pile...And I kinda contracted with a guy to keep hauling it away for him...I've got another garden that I'm doing the same thing to, so if I can get away with out top soil it would be great....Thanks, Dave
