Fast mower

Hi everyone. This might sound weird to be on this forum, but I am converting my 1996 MTD into a racing mower. Ive already taken the deck off, and also getting ready to do a pulley swap. I might lower it, I dont know. Sure is a fun project though! If you guys know any thing about this stuff any helpful pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I know nothing about racing lawn mowers that would help.

Apparently a growing sport. Couple weeks ago saw a local TV news article about lawn mower racing in Missouri.
I have an excuse. CRS.
