New Seat Now w/ PICS

Postby Jason (IL) » Thu Jul 04, 2013 7:14 am

Got my new seat in for Cubby. I been getting my from Rual King supply online. They are the Cheapest I can find and I think they are good. They are a Duck twill Canvas type?? What ever they are I like them over the Silver mesh canvas. My mesh canvas shredded and fraid so I replaced it.

With shipping and tax it was an even $112.00 arrived yesterday ordered Monday morning before 8am. Not bad.

Thanks Jason, I need a new seat. I ordered the silver canvas with brass drain hole. Found a coupon code for 10% off (FIREWORKS) and got free shipping when I checked out with PayPal. Total was $97.17

I have been asked for pictures so here it goes.

First my old seat after 9 yrs. I got it from OEM and it started fraying and pulling apart in a year or so. It got worse last summer so I decided to replace now while I had in my shop.

My new Seat. The color is a bit darker shade of gray / silver. But the canvas looks to be held down better.

Jason:

The new one looks very nice. Suggest you take the old ragged one to a good auto upholstery shop. They should be able to recover that seat nicely and maybe even upgrade it to the one with the grommet and drain hole  Looks like there is a lot of life in the older seat still.

Ok, I have had this seat on the tractor and at shows all summer. The seat itself is holding up great. The only problem is, the canvas is starting to turn color, a golden tanish color. I am guessing it is a reaction of water and the chemicals in the canvas or glue.

Just letting everyone know.
