Retirement

Postby Mr E » Mon Jul 01, 2013 9:33 am

Well, today I joined Bigdog and Barnyard and my many other cub buddies. Last day at work. Spend just enough time there to turn in my cell phone and laptop.

The first day of the rest of my life. Look out CubFests, here I come. :{_}: :{_}:

Roy:

Congrats :applause: on getting there. You are right, now begins the rest of the journey and it is going to be the best of times. Retirement is not what most folks think, it can be the most enjoyable time of our lives as long as we do the things that make us happy. Enjoy .. you deserve it :D

Congrats Roy! When you and I discussed this at the Bash I knew you were making the right decision. When I went out the door for the last time I never looked back. I have not missed it one bit. Yes you walked away from many friends, but you will remain friends with them. What you left behind is one chapter of your life and a new one begins. You will enjoy writing this new chapter.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Congratulations Roy. How about a summer cub fest so after getting greasy we can all go to the gulf and go swimming.

Mike, they tried the "greasy gulf" thing, once before, didn't they? Made a lot of people unhappy!
