Wish I could help on that. I have 2 TC's to dig into soon- an early one and a late one. Boss mentioned the need to make a special screwdriver to remove something.
The service manual is always a good place to start. In addition to the parts book, this is the other "essential" manual I recommend. My full, bookmarked pdf scan is here: http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/download.php?fname=./files/Service%20Manuals/Blue%20Ribbon%20Service%20Manuals/GSS-1411%20W-Rev%201%20Cub%20*%20Lo-Boy%202-76%20OCR.pdf
If the file is too big, Rudi should have the individual page jpegs

Bob:
I guess you could call it a special screwdriver. In actuality it is a drag link. I have a Snap On A-17 15/16" socket. It was discussed in this thread - TC Block Help needed
NEW! SNAP ON DRAG LINK SOCKET, 15/16" Blade Width, 1/2" DRIVE, A17
Craftsman sells em too -- but the price is a little steep : Craftsman 4 pc. Drag Link Socket Set

Re: Hydraulic Cylinder
That may be a drag link socket, but it sure is not a drag link! I thought I was going to have to make one once I saw what the task was, but I think I have something from my father's box that will do the job.
