I picked up a Woods RM42 at a garage sale this afternoon. From what I can tell so far the deck is in real good shape, but it's a 540 RPM "right-handed" 3pt hitch mower.
My warped mind is plotting evil things. Namely, converting it to a Cub Fast Hitch version.
I've got the Fast Hitch point and PTO shaft covered already, believe it or not. Only things I don't have covered is the left-handed overrunning clutch, and the difference in PTO speeds.
Will the hub off a belly mount 42 fit the RM42?
What's the diameter of the top drive pulley on the Cub version?

Re: Woods RM42
Ah phooey. After working on it a little this afternoon I figured out it's not going to be all too difficult to mount behind the Super A.

Better solution! The rigging for a Cub fast hitch is tough to come by.
